The very first post I made on this blog was in 2016, titled 'How to Cope with New Years Resolutions'.

I hadn't shared this blog with very many people, so although the message I was writing about was to be somewhat inspirational to people, it was more so for myself.
(read it here)

In honour of reviving this blog and giving it a real push in the last couple of months, (3 years later), it is now officially 2020.

This post is in remembrance of my very first.

2020 is going to be big year for a lot of us - for me, I'm kind of in limbo at the moment and I'm unsure of where I will be by the end of this year.

Hence, I think it's really important to stay present and appreciate each day as it comes and what every day brings. I am focusing on personal goals and skills as well as my character. I want to educate myself on topics I have interest in but haven't really delved into before. I want to become the best version of myself.

So, here is a list of 'resolutions', not just for 2020 in particular, but for life.

I like to remind myself of these every so often so I don't forget about the person I am striving to become:

  • wake up early each morning
  • do not dwell on things I wished I had and deserve
  • have gratitude and be grateful for what I have right now
  • take time to make breakfast, or intermittent fast until next decent meal
  • snack less
  • make to-do lists daily, and keep them specific
  • keep workspace and home tidy and organised
  • open the window/spend more time outdoors
  • time tasks, as to not spend too long on something that can be done in a shorter amount of time
  • dedicate specific time to rest instead of procrastinating throughout the day
  • take time out for things I am passionate about
  • maintain relationships
  • eat less processed food
  • create a productive routine
  • set reminders for daily chores
  • drink more water
  • be efficient
  • stay away from negative energy
  • fill my mind with positive and motivational thoughts
  • judge less
  • work on improving and becoming the best version of myself
